Some times an important  guest requests us to use our computer to view his mails, send  mails or for some other important work. This condition often make us quite uneasy because our computer contains important data and other private information which we do not want to share with him. We can neither refuse nor watch him sitting near him because both these actions of us will prove us ill-mannered . But don’t  worry  windows has a solution for it, “The Guest Account.” A guest account allows people to use your computer without having access to your personal data or files. A guest user can't change settings, install any software or hardware, or create a password. But before the guest account can be used you have to turn on the guest account already existing in your system.

How to activate the guest account

Click start, click Control Panel and open your control panel. A screen will appear like one given below-

 Now open user account double clicking the 'user account'  icon. Now the following screen will appear -

Now click the 'Guest Guest account is off icon'. Now the following screen will appear -
Now click the ;Turn on the guest account' button. Now your guest account is on. You will always have full access to the guest account but the guest will have access to none of your account.
